(Dress: White House Black Market (thrifted) | Necklace: Bauble Bar | Shoes: Macys | Watch: Michael Kors}
Ever since I picked up these back pumps for this meeting last week, I've been feeling more lady like. Because all ladies wear black pumps and hang out in alleys, right? The only problem is, these pumps, or any heels really, make me TALL. I am over 6ft. with these babies on and sometimes that just seems too tall for me. Like at work, I become the tallest person on my team. And in the bathroom, the mirror cuts off the top of my head.
But somehow, wearing flats with a dress like this just doesn't have the same lady like feel to me. And I can't really think of any other outcomes other than to be tall, or wear flats. (#firstworldproblems). Any thoughts or solutions on not feeling so tall from any other tall girls out there?

Wow, I LOVE your dress! I can't believe you found that at a thrift store. Nice find.

Well, I am 6'2 in socks, so, you know, bathroom mirrors always cut me off! I think if you look fab, which you do, the extra height only enhances it. There are no ways for me to feel less tall, so I opt for excellent posture. You look great in that dress!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love the coral necklace, it pops! What a beautiful blog too. I found you on the Pleated Poppy. Nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteGreat thrift store find!! Love this outfit. I have the same necklace in turquoise!
ReplyDeleteThat necklace is just stunning and so is the print of the dress! Such a strong, yet ladylike look!
ReplyDeletehaha. Thanks Jennifer. It's nice to sympathize about these things.
ReplyDeleteGreat! Welcome Rachel. Thanks for reading.
ReplyDeletenice pics btw- love the contrast of the wall color and your B&W dress!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this dress - I can't believe you thrifted it!! ;-)
ReplyDeletei feel your pain. Im 5"11.5 and if you wear 3 inch heels, you tower over everyone. I try to find cute heel around 2.5 to 2.75 inches but lets face it, you cut yourself off from some really cute shoes. I guess we should just OWN it and strut our amazon selves. :}
