I started this blog to help me live out my own dreams. It allows me to exercise my love of style, photography, travel, food, and writing. It feels good to see my adventures documented through daily outfit photos and lifestyle posts and I find that blogging helps clear my mind and fosters creativity for me to keep on dreaming! I hope this blog helps you find inspiration to make your own dreams happen.
My outfit posts are an expression of my personal style, on a budget that I can afford. I think it is important to live within your means and make realistic decisions about spending. I LOVE to shop, but I won't let that need to constantly expand my wardrobe overrun my life. There are too many other important things in life to prioritize, like family, travel, and food!
Now I'll let you in on a few secrets about the girl behind this blog. I am a Pacific Northwest girl at heart, and I love the rugged, artsy style of Portland and Seattle. I moved to Washington DC in 2007 and have been living here ever since. The DC lifestyle and fashion scene was a big adjustment for me (especially once I started a 9 to 5 job in the business world). I've slowly learned to combine my Northwest roots with the fast paced DC attitude in both my personal demeanor and my personal style.
